Aprašymas: The Mark V Double Star crosses a wide but simple trench of typical 1918 pattern. A Medium B makes the same crossing, as does a Medium C, both ways. The Medium A Whippet tank "HMLS Tarantula" gets stuck crossing the trench, having neither the length nor traction power to do so. The Medium C pulls it free. A battle-damaged Mark V Male "HMLS Egbert" also fails to cross the trench and has to be towed out by the Mark V Double Star - the towrope breaking on the first attempt. The tanks are driven back from the testing ground at high speed to their sheds, where a number of Mark V Double Stars wait under tarpaulin.
The trench-crossing abilities of the Mark V Double Star and Medium C tank compared in earlier models, Britain, late 1918.
